Bilingual company presentation for Careers Day

March 2016 - Once again, ruhlamat GmbH made use of the 11th Careers Day to present itself and its training professions to the young people in attendance. This time the presentation was undertaken by the trainees themselves. This met with considerable interest - both nationally and internationally.

"We are always interested in training young people in a profession that they enjoy," said Head of Production Andy Lorenz in his introductory speech.
A total of 12 future school leavers visited specialist engineering company ruhlamat GmbH on 09/03/2016, where they undertook an eventful tour of the company. During the process they were introduced to a total of 8 training professions first hand.

Careers Day: trainee presentation

During the approximately 2-hour tour the ruhlamat trainees used interesting presentations and demonstrations to illustrate to the pupils the individual stages involved in the creation of a special-purpose machine, and how the individual training professions contribute to this.

Particular interest in the technical processes was shown by 7 young people from Eritrea, who were accompanied by Ms Ilona Temmler and Mr Robert Schmiedel, from the training organisation Deutsche Angestellten-Akademie (DAA). The visitors received their first look at a German production facility and asked numerous questions regarding the individual professions. Using a mixture of German and English a good level of understanding was achieved and it proved possible to communicate details of manufacturing and assembly processes easily.

Also present were Mr Eckhard Lochner, Operational Managing Director, and Ms Angelika Knötig, Team Leader for Career Advice at the Suhl Job Centre, who observed proceedings and were impressed by both the company and the interest displayed by the visitors.
