On the occasion of this year’s CARTES in Paris ruhlamat launches the new pearl ID, the state-of-the-art concept for all kind of personalisation tasks in the ID sector. Another innovative highlight is PERFLEX, the new security feature in passport perforation, available on ruhlamat’s proven passport processing machines.

The new smart card personalisation machine pearl ID combines innovative design with proven technology modules and allows a flexible configuration whatever the detailed needs for the respective ID cards are. Features like high speed laser engraving, extremely fast single-pass HD DOD Industrial colour printing and the flexible multiple chip personalisation unit (contact and contactless) together with minimized material handling and user friendly operating interfaces allow high throughputs at extremely low consumable costs in connection with easy machine handling. The field-proven software packages with open interfaces to the customer’s application complement the pearl ID to the perfect, flexible solution for high quality and secure ID card personalization.

Concerning passport processing solutions, ruhlamat offers the complete range of equipment, starting with machines for booklet manufacturing over pre-personalisation to personalisation of the passport. One special feature here is PERFLEX, ruhlamat’s laser perforation method which allows passport perforation with different character sizes and using holes in different geometric shapes like squares and triangles. This new security feature in passport perforation is based on a sophisticated laser software, a ruhlamat inhouse development reflecting many years of experience in that field.
